The DBSyncs FTP (File Transfer Protocol) connector implements a file transport channel so that the DBSync iPaaS can exchange files with an external FTP server. The FTP connector can download the file from an FTP server and even upload files to an FTP server. This solution can also be used to read file(s) and also for writing to existing file(s).

Overview

Benefits

  • In memory data transfer over TCP or “Store and forward”

Files when moving between Cloud apps to FTP servers often requires additional security considerations, especially when you are in a highly regulated environment. Unlike many FTP applications, DBSync supports both in-memory or “store and forward” file transfer capabilities.

  • Post-processing operations

Once a file or data is processed, you will very likely need to run post-processing calls like moving processed files into another folder or deleting them. DBSync post processing allows you to configure actions to be taken after the process has been completed. The action can be any operating system command, or an executable file.

  • Different ways to run the process

A process can be run in two different ways: manually and using the scheduler. A manual run is useful in tests or sporadic use. The scheduler lets you manage repeated runs, or runs at a specific date and time. You can create more than one schedule.

  • Compliance with regulations and standards

DBSync helps your business comply with legal requirements regarding backups, such as the ones defined by HIPAA in the USA and the GDPR in the EU, and conform to standards such as the ISO 270001 and the PCI-DSS.

  • No per user costs

Your license doesn’t limit you to a number of users.

Features

  • Automated file backups by decreasing the manual intervention from any CRM, Accounting system to a remote FTP server.

  • Post processing of files from one directory to another directory within a file system.

Integrations

  • Suitable for:Oracle
DBSync Database Connector can be used with the FTP Connector for Migrating financial reports generated by SSRS to any storage location that can be accessed through FTP. The reporting output can be obtained using the Database connector and File connector, and these files can be easily moved over the cloud or central storage using the FTP connector.
  • Suitable for:Salesforce
DBSync’s Salesforce and File Transfer Protocol Secure (FTP/S) integration provides a simple and cost-effective way to transfer your Salesforce data to FTP/S based systems. Our unique in-memory based data transfer eliminates the risk of a security breach during the data transfer and helps you stay on top of regulatory requirements related to data storage.
